Dear Yasser,
On top of John’s suggestion, another excellent conference besides BrainPET in odd-numbered years, there is the NeuroReceptorMapping (NRM) conference in even-numbered years. However, if you are just starting you won’t understand much at a highly specialised conference! There is a very good 2.5 day introductory course run by Tony Gee here at King’s College London:https://www.kcl.ac.uk/prospectus/shortcourses/index/name/pet2015/keyword/medicine- this covers everything around PET. Maybe you would still get a place - it starts on the 20th of April. More specifically for quantitative PET analysis (kinetic modelling), there is another great 3-day one run by Federico Turkheimer… now also here at King’s:https://www.kcl.ac.uk/prospectus/shortcourses/index/name/pet-methodology-march-2015/alpha//month//day//header_search/PET- however, the current one finished today! Normally it runs twice a year, though, and anyway I would recommend it _after_ Tony’s more general PET course. If you also need neuroanatomy on top, there’s https://www.kcl.ac.uk/prospectus/shortcourses/index/name/neuroanatomy/alpha//month//day//header_search/Neuroanatomy Hope this helps and covers your quantitative PET needs, All the best, Alexander -----------------------------------------Alexander Hammers, MD PhD Professor (Honorary Consultant) of Imaging and NeuroscienceHead of PET Imaging CentreDivision of Imaging Sciences and Biomedical EngineeringKing's College LondonSt Thomas' Hospital, London Telephone +44-(0)20 7188 8364 (PA Viviane Schroeder) Email [log in to unmask]

Brain & BrainPET, organised by the ISCBFM, address many of the controversial issues within the area of neuroscience research. 2015 will feature a state-of-the art scientific program and showcase novel discoveries and techniques with the goal of enhancing delegates' understanding of brain function under physiological and pathological conditions. Brain & BrainPET will feature acclaimed international experts, who will debate, discuss and analyse the most promising investigations in brain protection and neurodegeneration. We look forward to you joining and participating in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, June 27-30, 2015.
