Hi Curwen,
Are you using a virtual purse for your students to top up their id card and then use the money to pay fines, printing costs etc?
We do take fines payments from users at the self service machine but that is using the Fines and Fees API from Innovative rather than a virtual purse. The students scan in their id card and are then told how much they have in library charges. Students can then choose to pay some or all of it off in cash or pay the full amount off using the chip and PIN machine.
Kind regards,
Emma

Subject: Fines payment on Self Check
Hi everyone,
I am new to the EIUG and Sierra and am hoping someone out there can help me.
With our old LMS, students paid their fines on the self check units by using their ID card and connecting through to a webservice at Pharos/Emos.
Has anyone done the same thing with Sierra?
Having a great time trying to sort this out and would appreciate any feedback!
Thanks
