Apologies for bothering people with this.
My book "anticipating the metaverse" was subject to a scalding review in
January. That review was xenophobic, by my reading of a wikipedia
definition.
Is anyone willing to have a look at the book, maybe review it? I believe
in it, my publisher believes in it, but I need the opinion of neutral but
informed eyes. I'm not asking for blind praise, thatıs just as useless as
blind anything else. Iım looking for genuine criticism, a stab under the
book's skin, reporting whatever you find. I have no problem with genuine
negative criticism: Iıve been insulted in the Poetry Review, and the guy
had a point.
The bookıs theme is artificial intelligence, is created minds, with
emphasis on engineering, and side journeys into science that excites, with
side journeys into hardly connected crannies. You donıt need prior
knowledge. I wrote the core poems long before last years spat in the news
about artificial intelligence, and they could have informed it.
Is anyone out there willing to take a look, and maybe write something
(without obligation)? If so, email me your postal address (donıt hit
reply, youıll send it to the list), and I'll mail you a copy.
International addresses are welcome, Iıll be posting copies from
Luxembourg.
Thank you,
Dylan Harris
