Database Manager
Imperial College London - Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health
Salary Range: £43,530 to £52,630 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in computing and experience in database management, to join the COSMOS and SCAMP research teams.
COSMOS is a high profile international research programme investigating mobile phone use and health across 5 European countries. SCAMP is a secondary school cohort study of mobile phone use and neurocognitive and behavioural outcomes. Both SCAMP and the UK arm of COMSOS are based in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics within the School of Public Health at Imperial College London. The Department has attracted a multi-disciplinary research team interfacing across epidemiology, database programming, geographical information systems, and statistical methodology. This environment provides excellent opportunities for career development. For more information on COSMOS visit the webpage at https://www.ukcosmos.org/. The UK COSMOS study has now received additional funding from the Department of Health to prepare for the launch of a follow-up questionnaire.
The emphasis of this role will be to further develop the project databases in order to facilitate the analysis of large health and other relevant databases, and the post holder will need to provide full-lifecycle technical support for applications developed by the studies.
