The Centre for Reviews and Dissemination at the University of York has posts available for research fellows in evidence synthesis.
CRD specialises in evidence synthesis, producing best evidence to inform policy and practice decisions across a wide range of health interventions. Aligned with the new University of York Research Strategy, the centre is expanding into policy areas aligned with health and wellbeing. We wish to appoint skilled and motivated Research Fellows in Evidence Synthesis to join CRD at this exciting time in the department’s history.
Grade 6 positions
You will have a first degree and a relevant Masters level qualification in a health, science or social science subject. You will also preferably have a PhD in a relevant topic. You will have a good understanding of systematic review and prior experience of health related research. You will be expected to work across programmes of research, but projects will be aligned with skills and experience and, wherever possible, with area of interest. We are particularly keen to receive applications from those with knowledge of diagnostics, individual participant data synthesis, qualitative research, rapid review or knowledge translation.
Salary: £30,434 - £37,394 a year. The posts are available immediately on a full or part-time basis (minimum of three days per week) and are fixed-term for a period of three years. A candidate brief can be found at:

Grade 7 position
You will have a Masters level qualification in a health, social science or science subject and a PhD, or equivalent experience, in a relevant topic. You will have an established or growing reputation in evidence synthesis, a strong publication record and a commitment to developing new research. We are particularly keen to receive applications from those with experience of rapid review, reviews of qualitative studies, diagnostic test reviews, or individual participant data synthesis. You will have evidence of current research success and will be expected to develop the skills and experience required to develop and lead a future research programme.
Salary: £37,394 - £45,954 a year. The post is available immediately on a full or part-time basis (minimum of three days per week) and is fixed-term for a period of three years.
