Yes we are doing something similar - we have a beacons based CMS platform
that we have developed and can record all sorts of data from the
interactions with the bluetooth LE beacons: dwell times, number of times
each beacon is pinged, content pulled down. Also the stats are near real
time as well.
we are working on developing a heat map system as well, but that is a
little further down the line. There are quite a few other interesting spin
offs from this tech as well including accessibility.
