Dear Jess,
My name is Federica Satta and I'm writing from Italy. I really red your mail with interest!
At the moment I'm just starting a Phd reasearch at Universitat Rovira I Virgili of Tarragona (Spain) on a topic related to digital comunication strategies in the Participatory Museums.
I took my degree in History of art in Italy and a MA in Computer Applications for the History of Art at Birckbeck College of London (2000), and after my studies I worked for a very long time in the communication field (designing, web and copy) and now I work as a teacher in Italy.
I'm not sure if I could be suitable to your needs expecially because I can't move to England (I'm actually jumping from Italy to Spain due to my Phd studies), but I will be happy to be a part of your team as I can!
Thank's for your attention and all my wishes for your project
Federica

> Hi All,

> In Oxford the museums secured some funding for a small research project The Hidden Museum: Revealing Collections Content in Context.
>
> The project seeks to explore methods for delivering collections-related digital content in a context-specific way that is both innovative from a digital technology perspective, but which is ultimately focussed on unlocking stories about the collections. The project will explore a number of variables including methods of triggering content, the format of the content, methods of semantically linking content to objects. The aim of the project will be to generate insights into the feasibility, usability and impact on visitor experience of combinations of these variables through user testing and prototypes.
>
> A core team from both the museums and the university's IT Services department will be working on the project, but we need additional resource to help with the user testing and evaluation side of the project. We are keen to bring someone onto the team to work flexibly with us, and who can see the project through from start to finish so we can gain the benefit of their insight for the full project, and we need to recruit (or similar) quickly, as we are slated to begin in March.
>
> I was wondering if anyone on the list could point me towards a freelancer or researcher who might be interested in the project? Any other suggestions are of course also welcome.
>
> Thanks and best wishes,
