VISITOR SERVICES MANAGER
Full time, permanent, £30,000pa, Central London
The Library and Museum of Freemasonry (“LMF”) is a Designated collection of objects, books and archives housed within the Grade II* listed Freemasons’ Hall in Central London. The LMF is currently undertaking a project to create 200sq m of additional display space for a new exhibition about the history of English freemasonry which will be opening in 2015/16 in anticipation of the celebrations of the tercentenary of the United Grand Lodge of England, the governing body for freemasonry in England and Wales, in 2017. These events are likely to increase the current visitor numbers of 35,000 pa significantly.
The Visitor Services Manager is a new post and will be responsible for co-ordinating and developing the LMF’s existing programme of tours of Freemasons’ Hall, for managing the Visitor Welcome Desk and will play a central role in the delivery of the Library and Museum’s new programmes for lifelong learning audiences. We are seeking a friendly, confident and organised individual with experience of managing visitor facing teams in the museum, library, archives or heritage sector.
