2.1 Living and learning in the open: Supporting and developing open courses, 12 March 2015, 1:00 – 1:40 GMT
In this free webinar Martin Hawksey talks about the development of the Open Course in Technology Enhanced Learning (ocTEL). As part of this we explore how ALT Members supported the design, development and running of the course as well as the technical challenges of facilitating a distributed learning experience and in particularly helping learners make connections to knowledge and people in an open learning space.

3.1 Learning Analytics Review: Measuring and Understanding Learner Emotions
The LACE project publicises the first paper in the Learning Analytics Review series, ‘Measuring and Understanding Learner Emotions: Evidence and Prospects.’ The paper is a literary review of over 100 papers on emotions in learning and the methods that can be applied to analysing data on emotions.

3.2 Crowdsourcing the UK constitution - an innovative learning and digital citizenship projectLSE has embarked on a new learning project to crowdsource the UK constitution. For 10 weeks the project invites you to share your views and ideas on what should be in a new modern written UK constitution. You will be able to submit content, vote ideas up or down and question the experts. Your ideas and discussions will count.
We invite all of you to share in this involvement, and have a look at the platform.

3.3 Use of Blogs in HE - Seeking Staff as Interviewees
Following a call a few months ago for student participants this PhD study now needs staff who would be willing to spend an hour sharing their experiences of using blogs within teaching with HE students. If you would be willing to give your time to be interviewed in the next couple of months please email [log in to unmask] Interviews will be arranged to suit you and will either be conducted in person or via Skype. Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you also to everyone who distributed, tweeted or completed the student survey which is also still ongoing.

5.1 APT Conference 2015 subject, “Flipping the Institution: Higher Education in the Post Digital Age”. Contributions are invited from practitioners, researchers, students and employers in all education and training sectors. 5.2 Call for Papers - Immersive Learning Research Network Conference iLRN 2015
The objective of the conference is to uncover and discuss emerging trends and technologies, best practices, successful products and services within an international and interdisciplinary community. Deadline for full papers: 1st March 2015. All accepted full papers will be published with IOS Press. All other accepted contributions will be published as online proceedings linked to an ISSN number. Selected papers will be invited for submission to a special issue of the Transactions of Future Intelligent Education Environments journal (TOFIEE).
