Datatech are recruiting for a number of Data Science roles across the Uk and Europe.  

Senior Data Scientist - Europe

A well-established digital organisation are seeking an experienced and technically minded individual to work in the position of Senior Data Scientist. The ideal candidate will hold a BSc or higher in a numerical subject and have strong knowledge/experience of statistical tools such as SAS, R, SPSS and SQL. A few responsibilities will include describing customer segmentation recommendations, facilitating data and building churn scoring.

Role & Responsibilities
•	Assist various developers with performance optimization and complex query development.
•	Facility data requirement meetings with business stakeholders in order to drive decisions.
•	Recognise cross selling opportunity.
•	Describe customer segmentation recommendations and ensure accurate implementation and development.
•	Perform further ad hoc analysis when required.
•	Assist in founding and enforcing data model design principles, standards and techniques.
•	Ensure the proposed data models follow data architecture guidelines.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required
•	Hold a BSc or higher in a numerical subject such as Computer Science, Statistics or Mathematics.
•	Strong written and oral communication skills.
•	Adapts easily to changing situations and demonstrates flexibility in judging priorities.
•	Knowledge of statistical packages such as R, SAS or SPSS.
•	Knowledge of SQL and database structure.
•	Passion for customer analytics and strong analytical abilities. 
•	5 years’+ work experience in customer segmentation modelling.
•	Exceptionally strong skills using Excel.
•	Ability to work with all business divisions in a practical manner.

Data Scientist – Salary Negotiable – London - J7907

A recognisable media organisation is seeking an intellectually capable and self-motivated individual to fulfil the position of Data Scientist.  The purpose of the role is to work with the business to identify business problems and liaise with relevant teams to prioritise and resolve these through developing realistic, data driven strategies

Role & Responsibilities
•	Identifying relevant data sources and combining/synthesizing them, conducting deep dive analysis as appropriate,   where relevant cleaning the data to ensure consistency.
•	You’ll also be responsible for identifying the optimal approach and conducting statistical analysis and modelling to meet specific requirements. This might include techniques such as regression; correlation, CHAID, factor analysis, and large-scale data mining techniques to discover and identify actionable patterns in the data. You’ll be required to present the results of analysis in easily digestible formats in order to facilitate a greater understanding of user behaviour, monetization and retention.
•	You’ll act as a product analytics/data science expert across the business and you’ll help encourage a culture of data-driven decision making. You’ll be an experienced Data Scientist with a successful track record of harnessing big data to create value though bringing about significant improvement in user experience and product change.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
•	Track record of building, leading and developing product analytics/data science thought leadership. 
•	Deep understanding of digital product development. 
•	Excellent analytical and algorithm design abilities. 
•	Proficiency with relational databases (SQL) and non-relational databases (Hadoop/pig) 
•	Experience in information retrieval and data analytics (e.g. data classification, text mining, search algorithms, etc.) 
•	Experience of solving problems with big data.
•	Experience of conducting complex statistical analysis, combining datasets and data mining. 
•	A good understanding and experience of using web analytics tools. 
•	A high level of involvement in developing and optimising web sites.

Data Scientist - Permanent – Salary Negotiable- South East

A large UK brand is seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to work in the position of Quantitative Analysis Lead. You will be responsible for designing accessible approaches, challenging decisions and embedding business intelligence. Experience with statistical tools such as SAS, SQL SPSS and R is essential.

Role & Responsibilities
•	Provide leadership for effective business improvement design and deployment.
•	To lead and manage an analysis team and work with programme delivery, change and design teams.
•	Embed a business intelligence way of working at all levels of the organisation. 
•	Influence people to utilise the business improvement techniques to business benefit and customer satisfaction.
•	Build the appropriate insight within the team, with a balance of dedicated business modelling and analysis professionals. 
•	Demonstrate the value of using the business improvement approach by helping people to understand the key issues and identify the areas to address to improve. 
•	Challenge non-fact-based decision-making and create disciplined ways of working. 
•	Design and develop accessible improvement approaches, strategies, tools and techniques. 
•	To communicate in a compelling and interesting way using real case study examples.
•	Sponsor external and internal benchmarking activities in support of improvement initiatives as required. 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required
•	Ability to influence and inspire through management information.
•	Have a strong understanding of complex issues and ability to distil learning and simplify complex scenarios. 
•	Database experience such as SQL and proficiency with SAS, SPSS and R. 
•	Experience of using analysis and modelling and providing insights and solutions based on analysis of complex data.
•	Strong modelling skills.
•	Advise at a senior level within a specialist area as well as leading a team of professionals.
•	Experience within Strategic Analysis, Business Planning and the Business Benchmarking community.
•	High level of business acumen and commercial awareness.
