Hi Jill

Happy New Year to you too.

Re the "shee wee" One of my colleagues ascended Mount Kilimanjaro to raise
money for charity. She took a shee wee with her - I admire her for doing
this but rather her than me on both counts.

I can see that how she manages her cystitis on a "personal level" is not
practical for work purposes in relation to her job requirements. I once
taught a continence adviser on a module on the OH programme - She was an
excellent student and OH students gained from her contributions in that
particular module, likewise I hope she gained from the input of OHNs. I am
sure the advice given by someone like her would be very helpful. Looks like
you have that one sorted.

From memory I think you were active in a local OH group - maybe worth
inviting a continence adviser to one of your group meetings to give a
presentation related to continence problems and solutions. There must be
many people in the work environment who have continence problems which we
may encounter should they be referred to OH. Likely to be an increasing
problem in the future with an aging workforce. I am mindful that continence
issues are not the preserve of an aging workforce, younger people can also
affected particularly as a result of trauma, an obstetric related issues.
