There seems to be quite a lot of background to be found via various sources
through Google. He was born in Jersey and died 20.12.1930 at the Hotel
Windsor, Monte Carlo. Effects £13071 14s 2d in England.

Dear All,
A colleague of mine is currently looking for biographical information on
Robert James Frecheville,
A. R. S. M., Mem I. M. M. (1847-1930), a well-known mining engineer who was
one time hired by
the Japanese Government and, after returning to the UK, was appointed as the
Inspector of Mines
in Cornwall, Devon and Dorset (1880-7). As he was elected as the president
of the Mining Institution
of Cornwall while he was in his office and later did work for Tehidy Estate
and Fortesque Estate, there
is a plenty of information available in CRO and so on. Compared with the
information of his activity
during the 19th century, the information for the 20th century is rather
scanty though he vigorously
worked as a consulting mining engineer and became directors of several
companies, eg. Consolidated
Mines Selection Co. Also he was a member of the advisory committee for the
Ministry of Munition during
the WW1.
Does anyone on the list kindly enrich the information about him, including
availability of his portrait
photo? Any information will be highly appreciated.
Kindest regards.
