Hi all,
A colleague is exploring the possibility of using his iPad for telephone and texting communication. He currently uses different AAC apps and normally has a separate phone that can read text messages using text-to-speech. Using the iPad would give him access to better text entry using prediction etc. and easier access to reading out texts. (and not have a separate device with him)
I did a quick search on the group but couldn't find anything so here my question:
Is there a reasonable way to use your iPad for text messaging and as a mobile phone (e.g. using a data sim to use Skype for sending texts and phoning and use specific apps to receive texts - as far as I know you can send texts using Skype but you can't receive them, unless you get texts from an iOS device...)
Any comments, hints and ideas welcome,
Many thanks
Rolf
