Dear colleagues,
the new year seems to have started with a few hurdles for LLASS.
Dr. Jeff Webber has informed us that unfortuantely as a result of last
term's industrial action the seminar scheduled for this week, Thursday, 15
January, clashes with other institutional commitments. But we are happy to
announce that it has been postponed to 5 March.
Please see the new poster attached for details. Please also note, that due
to some room booking problems in Senate House the rooms will not be the
same this term, and on a couple of occasions the starting time is 30
minutes later.
We are very pleased, however, to announce for our next seminar, as
scheduled, on Thursday, 29 January, 5-7pm:
Dr. Ignacio Aguilo (University of Manchester), who will be speaking on a
theme that is relatively new in Argentina:
"From Anthropometrics to Aesthetics: Visuality and Race in the Argentine
Chaco’."
We would very much appreciate it, if you could display the attached poster
visibly and email it on to draw it to the attention to you staff and
students and anyone else who is interested.
With best wishes for this year,
Heike
