initial 6-12 months duration.
- Providing high-caliber GIS support to the Pipelines discipline team during the Detailed Design phase of the project, liaising with other members of the project team, clients and sub-contractors.
- Manage the personal storage and quality of project geodatabases ensuring high standards of associated metadata and attribute information per the project procedures.
- GIS data collection, verification, cleansing, conversion and redistribution
- GIS analysis to support studies and engineering decision making
- Importing and exporting of CAD data
- Production of GIS maps, plans and drawings
Job Requirements
The successful candidate should possess demonstrable experience in a similar role or environment and have the following key skills:
- BSc. degree in Geographical Information Systems or equivalent
- A proven history in a consultancy environment, preferably in the hydrocarbons sector.
- A successful track record of GIS delivery on a major project.
- Held a position of responsibility as either a team lead or key point of contact.
- A good understanding of GIS theory and practice.
- Well skilled in ArcGIS and other ESRI products.
- Experienced in working with different projection systems.
- Competent in data management and using geodatabases.
- MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE UK WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP
Desirable
- Any specific hydrocarbons pipelines experience.
- Any experience with automating common repetitive tasks using ModelBuilder and/or Python.
- Any experience of GPS/mobile data capture.
