Why bizarre? Although geophysical survey has been with us for over 50 years
(or if you include Pitt Rivers' bosing, over a century!), what makes this
approach exciting and innovative is the combination of a number of
geophysical methods: "magnetometry, earth resistance, ground penetrating
radar and electric resistivity tomography".
