Nuffield Department of Population Health, University of Oxford, DPhil Research Projects 2015 for statisticians
The Department of Population Health has an extensive list of research projects available to potential DPhil students applying for admission in October 2015. These include many topics offering suitable research training and opportunities for statisticians. Selected such topics include:
• Dietary fats and risk of cardiovascular disease in the UK Biobank study
• Genetic and non-genetic risk factors for bleeding and their relevance to aspirin use
• Genetic epidemiology of Lp(a), kidney function and vascular disease
• Investigating the causality of vascular risk factors using genetic variants in ethnically diverse populations
• Statistical Methods for Estimating Risk of Perinatal Asphyxia
• Using population biobanks and pharmacogenomics to enhance clinical trial design
