Over my working life I spent quite some time off and on tracking down
"Pliny says" quotes to see what he really said. I now have another one.
"Pliny's AD77 Natural History describes the mineral wealth of Britain as
being so great that laws were introduced to restrict production." It may
refer to lead mining.
I have the complete Natural History but does one of you know it well enough
to give me the reference?
