Dear all,

Please may I draw your attention to our advertised Band 7 Healthcare Scientist job based in Clinical Biochemistry, Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals, part of Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
http://jobs.royalfree.nhs.uk/job/UK/London/Barnet/Royal_Free_London_NHS_Foundation_Trust/Clinical_Biochemistry/Clinical_Biochemistry-v342883?_ts=582

Although shown on the link currently with the job title Section leader, the post is intended to be a Band 7 Quality Manager specialist. The post holder will be required to take a technical lead in all issues related to Quality, Internal Quality Control, External Quality Assurance, Training and Development of other laboratory staff and Audit within the Clinical Biochemistry Department of the Trust. Working closely with the department BMS staff, the 8b Principal Biochemist and Pan-pathology Quality Manager.

Barnet and Chase Farm Pathology has recently taken up a pathology MES with fully automated multi-disciplinary equipment. Clinical Biochemistry has a workload of over 7 million tests per year and is based at both Barnet and Chase Farm sites.
The post holder will predominantly be based at the Barnet site which benefits from good public transport from the Northern Line (zone 5 High Barnet) and a short bus ride from over ground rail services into New Barnet station on a direct line from Kings Cross/Euston. Working at the site attracts outer-London weighting. There is free inter-hospital transport between Barnet, Chase Farm and Royal Free sites.

For queries and further information on the post please contact Dr Anne Trewick, Consultant Biochemist, Head of department on [log in to unmask] 0208 216 4699 or Mr Alan Frazer, Service Manager Clinical Biochemistry [log in to unmask] 0208 216 4310.

Regards

Katy
