The following full time, permanent post is available in Information & Learning Services at the University of Worcester:
E-Resources & Licensing Co-ordinator
Salary: £24,775 - £30,434 a year, with opportunity to progress to £33,242 a year
Reference number: ILS1421 - 2067
The E-Resources & Licensing Co-ordinator has a pivotal role in the management, development, promotion and optimisation of the University's e-resource profile. This includes: managing subscriptions and access to online databases, e-books and journals; responsibility for the discovery service; licence advice and negotiation; troubleshooting problems and offering help and guidance; training colleagues in back-end systems; and involvement in higher level strategic projects. The post holder will take an active role in working with Academic Liaison Librarians, Acquisitions, ICT, and Hive staff to ensure that e-resources are accessible, usable and well matched to learning, teaching and research needs.
An analytical approach with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems is essential, as is flexibility, a strong customer focus and a team approach. The role involves working with a range of stakeholders both internal and external to the institution, so excellent communication skills are also critical. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable undertaking detailed work with large volumes of data, and with evaluating and offering advice on wider trends in e-resources and the digital library environment.
