The School of Law at Queen Mary University of London launches its unique LLM programme in Immigration Law (http://www.law.qmul.ac.uk/postgraduate/courses/items/138040.html), featuring Professor Guy S Goodwin-Gill (http://www.law.ox.ac.uk/profile/goodwingillg) of All Souls College, Oxford, as the guest speaker. His inaugural lecture, which opens the 2014-15 academic year, will be followed by a discussion with the audience and a drinks reception.
About the Speaker
Guy S Goodwin-Gill is a Emeritus Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, Emeritus Professor of International Refugee Law and a Barrister at Blackstone Chambers, London. He is a leading authority in international refugee law, widely cited by tribunals and appellate courts across jurisdictions around the world. He is the Founding Editor of the International Journal of Refugee Law and has written extensively on refugees, migration, international organizations, elections, democratization and child soldiers. Recent publications include ‘Non-Refoulement, Temporary Refuge, and the “New” Asylum Seekers’, in Cantor & Durieux (eds), Refuge from Inhumanity?
