Senior Statistical Programmer- US
Our client is a rapidly expanding specialist Biometrics CRO with a Global presence, looking to expand their team within the US. They are seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer who reports to, and works under the direction of the Statistical Programming Manager and Assistant Statistical Programming Manager. Individuals will be expected to demonstrate effective communication skills with the client, his or her immediate supervisor, and other company personnel.
Location: Office based North Carolina or home based anywhere within the US
Senior Statistical Programmer Responsibilities/Tasks:
Programming
• Prepare deliverables for, and communicate with the client as needed.
• Serve as programming lead as directed.
• Assist in developing a project programming plan and specifications.
• Assist in training other team members as directed.
• Create and validate datasets and advanced figures.
• Perform initial programming (IP) to produce tables, listings, and basic graphs.
• Perform QC programming (QCP) to validate tables, listings, and basic graphs.
• Program SAS edit checks for data cleaning.
• Complete project documentation as required.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with co-workers.
Quality Control/Quality Assurance
• Perform manual quality control (MQC) review of table, listing, figure packages and other quality checks
• Complete project documentation as required.
Education/Experience Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
• 3+ years of experience working within clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies or contract research organizations preferred.
Required Skills:
• Working knowledge of company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and practices.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of clinical trial methodology.
• Strong SAS programming skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and standard coding dictionaries.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization skills.
