Librarian (Band 5) - The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust Library and Knowledge Service
Hours per Week: 22.5 hours per week (over 3 days)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Librarian or Information Specialist to join a team offering innovative library and knowledge services for The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
The service supports the health care team including consultants, GPs, nurses, allied health professionals, public health specialists and commissioners in accessing high quality information and research evidence to inform patient care and health policy. We have a proven record of performing to the highest NHS standards and 100% compliance with the NHS Library Quality Assurance Framework.
We serve TRFT hospital and community staff, GPs and other independent contractors, Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group, NHS England South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw and The Rotherham Hospice.
You will play a key and varied role in the service involving current awareness, literature searching, library services and web content development. You will work across the main library sites in Rotherham at Rotherham Hospital and at Oak House, Bramley, and across the community.
You should have a graduate or postgraduate library/information studies qualification or equivalent, excellent communication skills, an ability to use your own initiative, good planning and organisational skills and relevant IT experience. You will have experience of information work.
