The University of Bath (UK) is a member of the Arts & Humanities
Research Council-funded South, West and Wales Doctoral Training
Partnership ((SWW DTP), which is making available over 50 fully-funded
doctoral studentships for 2014-15 (research commencing 2015-16), to be
awarded competitively across the Arts and Humanities disciplines. For

Bath has a supervisory capacity in the following AHRC-facing subject areas of:
- Modern Languages (French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish,
European Studies)
- History.
We have particular expertise in interdisciplinary and praxis-oriented
work on political cultures and identities, European memory politics,
contemporary European history, cultural diplomacy, European film, text
and image, literature and environment, digital design, architectural
history, and heritage and conservation.
The Department of Politics, Languages and International Studies at
Bath welcomes approaches from candidates with PhD projects in all
areas of contemporary Italian culture and society, and will be pleased
to provide support with the preparation of your application for a
studentship.
