Some time ago, I asked for WebDAV support to be turned on in the LFC -
with a view to making things easier for small VOs. At the time, this was
interesting, but not actually particularly useful as nobody had working
WebDAV.
That situation has now changed - WebDAV is supposed to work at ATLAS
sites. I therefore thought I'd have another go (inspired in part by SNO+
and their SUSE users).
https://ggus.eu/index.php?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=110244 got the port
reopened and the Daemon restarted.
If you go to:
https://lcglfc03.gridpp.rl.ac.uk/grid/dteam/user/walker/webdav-test/
You'll see lots files I put on the RAL LFC as dteam (I had to explicitly
specifying the RAL LFC here as dteam defaults to CERN - however other
VOs are different).
For me it works in my web browser - at least for some files. StoRM and
dCache don't use port 443, so don't work. Many of the DPM webdav
endpoints seem to be down.
It seems to work for:
Lancs
Sheffield
Cambridge
Glasgow.
Many of the other DPM SEs seem to get so far (and Manchester was working
on Sunday).
Perhaps people would be interested in trying it.
Chris
PS There is some discussion of whether this works with a web browser -
it works for me - though there may be configuration issues at RAL. It
ought to work with CURL and a voms certificate:
curl -v --cert $X509_USER_PROXY --key $X509_USER_PROXYrt
$X509_USER_PROXY --capath /etc/grid-security/certificates/ -L
