Today we are launching a new website that is the home to the Quantitative Methods Research Group, and to the Geographical Information Science Research Group of the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute for British Geographers) (RGS-IBG).
Although the two remain as separate research groups, both have a shared interest in the use of geographical data and geographical methods of analysis for research and teaching.
This new website also hosts teaching and learning resources that were developed from the QuanTile project. QuanTile was Jointly funded by the ESRC, HEFCE and the British Academy (BA), and involved a team from the RGS-IBG working with members of both the GIScRG and QMRG to support and gain a better understanding of the state of quantitative methods teaching in UK schools and Universities. Reports from this project can also be found on the site.
Return of CATMOG: For those missing these excellent resources, these are also now back online! Sorry for the break in service!
The new website address is http://quantile.info/
Best Regards
Alex
