*PhD Studentships in Germanic Studies at the University of Sheffield*
The Department of Germanic Studies at the University of Sheffield, which
comprises German, Dutch and Luxembourg Studies, is delighted to announce
a range of studentships for autumn 2015 entry. We especially welcome
applications in the following areas:
Literary and Cultural Studies
Gender Studies
Migration and Transnationalism
Modern History and Contemporary Politics
Philosophy and Intellectual Thought
Sociolinguistics and Pragmatics

Applications for the following studentship opportunities must be
submitted by *2 February 2015*:
1) The White Rose College of the Arts & Humanities (WRoCAH) has funding
from the AHRC for a Doctoral Training Partnership that will create over
50 PhD studentships annually and join the expertise of the Universities
of Leeds, Sheffield and York. This enables us to offer a range of

2) Applications for the University Prize scholarships, the Harry
Worthington scholarships, the Wolfson scholarships and Faculty
