Ever wondered why politicians do not take the needs of Disabled people seriously? This is a publicly funded building . I.e. it is funded by taxpayers (including VAT) paid by disabled people. It is used by Univ of London to teach people politics and social policy. The students mainly end up as politicians or political advisers. Obviously most of them have no problems with discrimination against people with mobility impairments. Hence negative policies against disabled people. At the same hand people who have mobility impairments or physically weak are often denied access to very physical jobs and qualifications which would enable us to get higher waged jobs to off set some of the extra funding needed to function well in the community. This inaccessible building denies employment opportunities to many disabled people. It is also protected by English Heritage which protects a lot of buildings which by their design denies access to disabled people. It is ironic to note that were English people using wheelchairs before this building was designed and built https://www.flickr.com/photos/ruhuman/14119180655/
