THE CHARLES LAMB SOCIETY: PROGRAMME 2014 –15
We would like to invite all BARS members and interested Romanticists to consider becoming a member of the Charles Lamb Society in time for the meetings in 2014-5. Our first planned event was a visit to Lamb's Cottage in Edmonton on Saturday 4 October, at 2.30pm - a very rare chance to see inside this private home, the last residence of the Lambs. We'll then have a day conference on Saturday 29th November in Bloomsbury on the subject of Mary Lamb's essay 'On Needlework', with an exciting range of invited speakers. Anyone interested is invited to come to the meetings which are usually free or at very low cost, but joining the CLS [at only £18 yearly] entitles you to receive our excellent Bulletin twice yearly. Please contact Felicity James, [log in to unmask], or see our website: http://www.charleslambsociety.com/ for details of membership and events.
