Dear colleagues,
Call for papers - Smarter Travel 2015, Birmingham, February 5th & 6th .
This year's event is being hosted by Centro and DfT, Transport Systems Catapult, Atkins and Sustrans are supporting the event. Your are invited to submit your abstract in one of three categories
1. Innovation
2. Local Sustainable Transport Fund
3. The enabling role of sustainable transport
This 3rd Annual Smarter Travel Conference including the National Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) Conference, will both celebrate the best of what the LSTF has achieved and plans for the future in 2015/16. Looking to the future, we are pleased to announce an exciting new development. For the first time the event will showcase the role of technologies, and use of data and systems in sustainable transport policy and practice and feature a Transport Technology Expo.
Emerging technologies, such as smart phone apps, telematics, vehicle technology and shared transport are changing the way people get around and the places they visit.
We are also seeking papers which outline the achievements of the Local Sustainable Transport Fund, covering marketing, integrated transport, active travel, travel planning and more. We also wish to profile the best plans for 2015/16 LSTF projects in partnership with Local Enterprise Partnerships.
Finally, we seek abstracts on the enabling role of sustainable transport accessing impacts on the economy, jobs, climate change, air quality and public health.
