Hello,

As I know a number of list members have attended previous REMIX Summits on
Culture, Technology & Entrepreneurship so I thought list members might be
interested in the launch of this year's REMIX London 2014 Summit which is
our European event.

It takes place at Google Town Hall, the new event space at Google's London
HQ on 2-3 December 2014. *Please note there are just 150 tickets available
due to the nature of the venue and the last two events both sold out. *

A short intro to REMIX can be found below as well as the first 20 speakers
of the 75 to be announced over the next few weeks.

In brief, our line-up this year includes...

- Fabien Riggall, Founder, Secret Cinema - the immersive cinema specialists
recently broke the world record for ticket sales for a live cinema event
for their recent Back to the Future show where they recreated the town of
Hill Valley
- Justine Roberts, Founder & CEO, Mumsnet - learn how to build online
communities from a massively successful site with over 10 million visits
per month
- Amit Sood, Director, Cultural Institute, Google - the latest from the
head of Google's culture team
- Eleanor Ford, Innovation Director, Time Out - Eleanor is behind the
transformation of this iconic brand which now has an online audience in
excess of 25 million people per month
- Ruth Mackenzie CBE, Interim CEO / Launch Director - a partnership between
the BBC and ACE to provide a new platform for digital art which re-launched
with a giant hackathon at Tate Modern earlier this year
- Sir Nicholas Kenyon, Managing Director, Barbican Centre - hear from the
MD of The Barbican, who recently unveiled Digital Revolution on the future
of the arts and the changing cultural landscape
- Fergus Linehan, Festival Director, Edinburgh International Festival - the
new Director of the Edinburgh International Festival looks at the trends
shaping the experience economy
- Chris Wild, Director, Retronaut.com - the runaway success of
Retronaut.com in reaching millions of people and creating new audiences has
inspired many people working in the arts. Chris has recently secured
venture capital funding, published a book with National Geographic and will
share his genius including an amazing project with Woodhorn Colliery which
saw them trend on the BBC homepage this month
- Mike Sarna, Director, Programming & Exhibitions, Royal Museums Greenwich
- the Director of Exhibitions at the National Maritime Museum spills the
beans on a exciting new partnership with immersive theatre specialists
Punchdrunk to create a new dimension on a forthcoming exhibition
- Jess Butcher, Co-founder and CMO, Blippar, the leaders in field of
Augmented Reality have recently teamed up with the Art Everywhere project
and will explore the potential of AR for the arts
- Alice Taylor, CEO, MakieLab - Pioneers in the creation of 3D printing of
toys and games, MakieLab have exploited the commercial potential of this
technology to global acclaim by creating a doll that can be personalised
- Simon Walker, Chief Strategy Officer - Rightster are a leading Multi
Channel Network (MCN) on YouTube consisting of 450 channels watched by 371
million people per month and who recently announced an exciting £1.8
million partnership with Arts Council England to develop a MCN for the arts
- Kelly Sawdon, Chief Branding Officer, Ace Hotels - arguably the world's
coolest hotels with a Shoreditch branch opening last year, this is a chance
to learn how to understand new consumer trends and craft an incredible brand
