Dear All,
I'd like to ask or your advice/suggestions please if I may.
We are downsizing soon.
We have a bound set of the Times Index 1901-1995, which takes up 12 linear metres. We also have the newspaper itself on micro film and some later years on CD.
It doesn't get much use, but on the odd occasion it has been just what was needed.
There is no way we could afford to subscribe to the Time Digital Archive, but there are other routes in to the Times (public/academic libraries for example) for the odd occasion it may prove useful.
So, I am considering either offering the Index (and possibly microfilm with it) out for adoption - 'free to a good home', or disposing of it.
However, I am concerned that it may be a valuable, or rare thing that I should value more?
If anyone can advise please either on its worth (or not as may well be), or on a potential new home, do contact me (either on or off list).
Thank you all as ever,
Patricia
