In collaboration with other universities we have succeeded in getting ESRC funding for a seminar series on Information Sharing over the next couple of years.
This stemmed from several years' research in collaboration with Leicestershire County Council and other local public bodies. This research had a number of outcomes including central government's funding for a Centre of Excellence for Information Sharing http://informationsharing.co.uk/ ; staff capability building initiatives, including a freely available information sharing e-learning module and other methodologies for enabling people in the public sector and third sector staff to reflect on their information behaviour.
I would be grateful if you could share the links below with your networks to drum up attendance at the seminars. The speakers come from a broad range of backgrounds including government policy makers, practitioners and academics. We will also be looking for additional speakers.
