Hi Jason,
Here at Hants we took the decision to not record DBAs on the HER unless they have additional material which is of benefit to the HER, in that case they are put on as a source and additional information to the appropriate sites. As you say, in most cases, they are just a summary of what we have given them from the HER which is of no benefit to the HER and creates un-necessary records.

Here at West Yorkshire we are looking at the way which we record desk-based assessments on the HER database. We feel that it is not advantageous to create a record which just recycles the findings of a DBA and in some cases is just a list of sites recorded on the HER. How do others deal with the recording of DBA's on the HER?
