Hi Salil,
The install is failing as your machine doesn't appear to have a
hostname, has your machine got a fixed IP address or is it DHCP
assigned? If the latter I'd suggest you talk to your local IT admin
types to see if you can get a fixed IP address. You can make
gridengine work on DHCP but it's not fun.
If you have a fixed IP address, you will need to add this to your
/etc/hosts file along with a hostname.
