Kevin's recollection is quite correct - I was involved in AIM25; at the time I was the part-time archivist for 2 archives; 1-5 day per week at one (with a part-time assistant 2 days per week) - I was granted the extra halfday for the AIM25 work and carefully forgot to tell them when the project was over - and 1 day per week (all alone; had to call on the roaming archivist for the AIM 25 work) at another. As far as I know, the staffing situation hasn't changed at one archive and is only slightly improved at the other.
Jenny - perhaps you could clarify your question?

If I recall correctly, the AIM25 project found many archives in London with no staff at all. Part of the project's funding was used for a roaming archivist who went in to each of these collections to produce collection descriptions at a minimum. I'm sure others more closely involved with AIM25 will correct me if my recollection is faulty.
I'm sure Jenny's question was intended to be restricted to local authority services!
