2.4 Citizen Maths: Powerful Ideas In Action - a free webinar, 11 December 2014, 12.30 GMT
Citizen Maths is an open online course targeted at self-motivated adults who have decided that they want to improve their grasp of mathematics at or around Level 2. In this webinar, Seb Schmoller, Citizen Maths project director, will introduce the practical case for this kind of course, and the range of inspiration behind it. Dave Pratt will talk through the design of the course. Graham Griffiths will present outcomes from the first run of the first part of the course and how its impact is being assessed.

4.4 Making Video for Language Learning and Teaching, University of York, 15 November 2014
This practical workshop will introduce ELT professionals to the skills involved in making short video films to support teaching and learning. It will explore how to develop an idea into a film that can be exploited effectively in the classroom or in a self-access context.
