Salary: £40,847 - £45,954 per annum

This three-year full time position as a Research Fellow in Medical Statistics at the School
of Social and Community Medicine, University of Bristol, is an ideal first senior position
with many opportunities for career development. We are looking for a statistician with a
track record of high quality clinical and methodological research to work with a successful
UKCRC-registered Trials Unit within the School and with the UK Renal Registry. The post-
holder will be a co-investigator with multi-disciplinary teams of researchers, collaborating to
provide senior level statistical expertise to the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials,
on the Bristol Randomised Trials Collaboration (BRTC) portfolio. They will also work closely
with colleagues at the UK Renal Registry, based in Bristol, on novel statistical approaches
to analyzing registry data, taking a leading role in establishing the Registry as a facilitator of
cost-effective clinical trials in kidney disease. As part of their role the post-holder will take a
lead role in seeking funding for, and in carrying out research into statistical methods for the
analysis of clinical trials and registry data.
