We are currently recruiting to a new post in the Planning Team at Loughborough University.
The Planning Team is part of the Vice Chancellor's office and comprises 8 staff including the Director of Planning.
The Planning Team provides a broad range of services in support of the University’s
major planning functions. It works closely with staff across the University on planning
and resource issues. Its main responsibilities fall under three main headings:
* Development & delivery of University Strategy: Building Excellence
* Support for the University Planning and Resource Allocation process
* Provision of accurate, timely and relevant management information.
Higher education is in a period of rapid change increasing the need to extract and
manipulate large volumes of data in support of business decisions. The new role of
Data Analyst has been created in response to this and the person appointed will join
a group of staff within the Planning Team who are responsible for management
information and statutory funding returns.
Job Purpose: The Data Analyst will be responsible for co-ordinating the
development of effective mechanisms and processes for the extraction and analysis
of a wide range of planning data. The role will include liaison with senior staff on the
use of data to inform and strengthen strategic decision-making and policy
development.
Salary on Management & Specialist Grade 6: £28,695 - £37,394 per annum.
