As we are living on non-car island we depend on those every day. They do have different qualities like always possible to open, possible to lift off a pole, ability to connect ropes of different diameter etc.
Intresting perspective on the form follows function thing. Is there a difference between discovered beauty in functional objects and things intentionally designed to be purely functional?
Best Regards,
