Data Scientist- Salary to £45K + benefits – South East
A recognisable and exciting innovation company is seeking an accomplished and intellectually capable individual to fulfil this role. As an Operational Research Analyst you will be enhancing their Analytics team to support a rapidly growing pipeline of projects across multiple sectors. The ideal candidate will have an excellent technical track record and be able to confidently analyse and overcome technical challenges with workable solutions.
Role & Responsibilities
•Drive the development of real-time or predictive models for various systems including how to set them into production.
•Capture Client requirements, analyse and interpret data and then produce testing protocols for review.
•Liaise with clients at all times.
•Develop ad-hoc algorithms for applications and work closely with clients to customise and validate solutions for their needs.
•Support the generation of an analytics portfolio of tools that can be used in future projects.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
•A good degree in Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science or other quantitative field. A relevant post-graduate qualification would be highly advantageous.
•Have significant previous hands-on experience in Operational Research and Analytics.
•Must be able to demonstrate experience in solving complex mathematical problems using relevant software- MATLAB (must be able to write code), R, Python, in a commercial environment.
•Development experience in C/C++/C# or Java is preferable.
•Be able to manage multiple concurrent work streams.
•Be proactive in offering technical support and advice to more junior members of the team.
