We are delighted to announce the publication of Parking: Issues and Policies<http://bit.ly/1uD4sV0>, edited by Stephen Ison, Loughborough University, and Corinne Mulley, University of Sydney. This is volume 5 in the Transport and Sustainability<http://bit.ly/1qb42ij> series.
About the book
Given the ubiquitous nature of parking in our cities, there is a relative lack of research at least when compared to measures such as road pricing of which much has been written but of which there are few schemes in existence world-wide. This book adds to the debate with respect to parking covering the issues of supply and demand, the various policy measures (namely economic, regulatory, regional wide or organisational, in addition to carefully selected case studies), along with the future direction of parking policy.
Highlights include:
The High Cost of Minimum Parking Requirements<http://bit.ly/1qTZLFc>
The Effictiveness of Park-and-Ride as a Policy Measure for More Sustainable Mobility<http://bit.ly/1AR2MHl>
Three Faces of Parking: Emerging Trends in the U.S.<http://bit.ly/1uFheBk>
