Hi
Steve has set up a version of his network tests for CEs/WNs and SEs with
IPv6 connectivity. A new web page has been created:
http://pprc.qmul.ac.uk/~lloyd/gridpp/nettest_v6.html
Jobs are submitted via the dual stack WMS at Imperial and once on the WN
they look up replicas in the dual-stack LFC also at Imperial. Then the
file copies at each SE are copied to the WN in turn using lcg-cp
(gsiftp), gfal-copy again using gsiftp both with the appropriate IPv6
flag set and finally with curl using the -4 and -6 options in turn. The
results are displayed in the same manner as the original Network Tests,
namely sorted by site name and sorted by average rate. There are also
tables of the number of successful tests over the previous 24 hours.
Interestingly, the gfal-copy client has up until now not been installed
by default on worker nodes; at Imperial we have installed it on the IPv6
worker node. The EMI-3 update requesting the gfal2-util rpm
(emi-wn-3.1.0-1) came out last night.
There seems to be a problem downloading via curl when using proxies
which have come through a WMS. We've submitted a ticket about this:
https://ggus.eu/index.php?mode=ticket_info&ticket_id=108269
We have also requested options to specify IPv4 or IPv6 to gfal-copy.
They look unlikely to be implemented however:

cheers
Duncan
