Until the idea of exactly 'what is design' is pinned down and shared, its
not much use discussing how this or that fits.

Thank you. I will look up your definition.
But right now that is beside the point.
The point we are discussing is the classification of design disciplines that
can be gleaned from the views you express about those A/B types of knowledge
you were talking about.

Sorry... the "burden of proof" is upon you... you haven't explained why, for
instance, CAM is a "type B".
Besides, I already wrote what I think is the essence of design and the
reason why there are multiple design disciplines, like "web design" or
"fashion design", etc.
