Hi all,
Librarians from Wales Higher Education Libraries Forum (WHELF) and the Great Western 4 libraries are organising a full day Digital and Information Literacies event around the theme of research support in Cardiff on Friday November 28th. This event is an opportunity to share ideas and expertise with colleagues from across Wales, the South-West and further afield.
We are looking for volunteers to participate in the TeachMeet part of the day. Have you been using an innovative approach or technique to support your researchers? Do you have any creative ideas which may help colleagues at other institutions enhance their existing programmes? Or, would you like to share your examples of good practice? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are seeking presenters to give short, informal presentations in a small group setting lasting around 10 minutes. You would need to be prepared to deliver your presentation more than once. These bite-sized sessions could be about anything you have used to support researchers either face-to-face or online. Topics we are hoping to cover include:
innovative solutions for remote support
1-2-1 engagement
using social media
managing research data
supporting open access
supporting researchers for the REF
making bibliometrics accessible to the uninitiated
diagnostic testing for research students
If you would like to participate, can you let Lori or Caroline know:

Looking forward to seeing you in Cardiff in November.
Best wishes,
Nigel Morgan
