Dear Dieter,
It is relatively simple to write defocus values into an Imagic (header)
file. The Image command HEADERS accepts a formatted input file ('PLT'
file; one or more values per line) with defocus information (or any
other relevant parameter for that matter) to be placed into the
appropriate header positions. The last versions of em2em will import
the defocus values directly, I believe.
