The Noh and Panne laboratories at EMBL Heidelberg, Germany and Grenoble, France seek to recruit a postdoctoral scientist for an interdisciplinary project on the role of chromatin as a signaling platform during brain development. The project involves high-resolution structural determination of macromolecular assemblies of Retinoic Acid Induced gene 1 combined with functional analysis to define how RAI1 recognises defined chromatin states and integrates signalling pathways into coordinated transcriptional programs.

We invite applications from candidates with strong background in cell biology or biochemistry/biophysics and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research. The proposed project provides an excellent opportunity to combine functional and cell biological studies with structural analysis of macromolecular assemblies at atomic resolution.
