Hello Colleagues
Here at Kent GTAs who have a university Scholarship are required to do some teaching. They are offered a combination of non-credit-bearing support ( through their departments and one-day Intro to Teaching sessions which we run for the Graduate School) and credit-bearing, which consists of the two core modules of our PGCert. This is free, and involves attending 5 half day sessions for each module, coursework and two teaching observations. Successful completion of the latter means they are eligible for Associate Fellowship.

Best wishes

Hello David and SEDA colleagues
At the University of Roehampton, we require all doctoral students with a teaching or demonstrating commitment to complete a short SEDA programme. This involves compulsory attendance at four half day sessions, completing a formal presentation to peers, and a six part portfolio. There is no charge to attendees.
Information about the SEDA course (Supporting Learning) can be seen at:http://www.seda.ac.uk/pdf.html?p=3_1_10_1_14. The course leads to Assoc. Fellowship of the HEA.
Kind regards
Bridget
