Job: Mathematical Modeller - Antibiotic Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection, Public Health England
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and creative mathematical modeller to develop models exploring the spread and control of drug-resistant bacteria.
The post-holder will lead the development of mathematical models of the dynamics of multi-drug resistant Gram negative bacteria in hospitals and the community, and then use these models to evaluate the effectiveness of intervention strategies in both the short and long-term.
The successful applicant will have strong modelling skills, together with a keen interest in infectious diseases and public health, and will be highly motivated and enthusiastic about working collaboratively with researchers from different disciplines both nationally and internationally.
They will join an existing infectious disease modelling team with considerable experience undertaking policy focused research and providing advice to decision makers in the UK and Europe.
Salary: £37,175-£45,769 per annum
