Subject: Subsidised Railway Testing Scheme
Dear Sir
At yesterdays Unlocking Innovation Event Dr Neal Ebenezer, from the DfT, suggested I tell you about the subsidised testing scheme which I manage for Network Rail. The Scheme is a joint initiative with the Enabling Innovation Team (EIT) funded by RSSB, to provide subsidised testing at the Rail Innovation & Development Centre (RIDC). For more information see: http://www.futurerailway.org/innovation/Pages/Testing-Voucher.aspx
Qualifying SME companies and Academic Institutions get up to 2 days of Network Rail Engineering experts time and up to 5 days of testing in a safe, controlled, representative environment. The benefits of this cost effective and realistic approach is quick response and low risk collaboration with Network Rail providing an honest view of viability of a product or service.
If you know of any university or SME wish to apply to use the scheme to test new products or services please apply at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>k
Yours sincerely
